It is also used for distilled beverages, condiments, ethanol and alcoholic beverages. Sorghum has two varieties namely the white and yellow variety.

Some of the major producing states in Nigeria include Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe, Taraba, Plateau, Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Nasarawa, Niger and Zamfara.

Though is a no official figure on the national production, demand and supply of sorghum in Nigeria, the local demand is more than the current local supply owning to the increasing demand from local industries in Nigeria.

The current scenario represents a seller’s market and an opportunity for interested investors to supply this commodity to industry in Nigeria.

The product would be packaged in pp woven sacks of 50/100/150 KG depending the buyers requirement which abounds in different parts of the country.
